Beyond Good & Evil was typically a game that falls into the “best game no-one played” category. The game was very well put together, was a lot of fun to play, and the press rewarded the game with good marks. However, sales figures were disappointing, even in Europe, where the price was immediately reduced to 20 euros. Anyway, the people who did buy the game were satisfied with it.
Anyway, Michel Ancel, who is currently working on King Kong, said a few things about the possible sequel in an interview.
“If we make a sequel to BG&E, it would have a lot of advantage because of the time we’ve spent on King Kong,”
“It’s not that much of a problem to do it. It seems that a lot of people would like a sequel, and I wrote the story to be longer, so it would be good to finish it. But we have no plans for that.”
So no plans for Beyond Good & Evil 2, although there is still hope. The story was longer than the one put into Beyond Good & Evil. That’s just fingers crossed.
‘Beyond Good & Evil 2’ is still underway, but…
