Black Shark 5 will launch on March 30

The Black Shark 5 series appeared on TENAA and 3C last month, and the gaming brand has finally set a date for the phones’ arrival. The launch will take place on March 30 at 19:00 Chinese local time.

The company is expected to unveil two phones: Black Shark 5 and Black Shark 5 Pro. The Pro will obviously be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, but TENAA suggests that the vanilla variant will use the much more modest Snapdragon 870.

The Black Shark 5 Pro is also expected to bring a bigger battery and higher screen refresh rate compared to the 4s Pro. We’ll know more next Wednesday when the event brings all the details.

The Black Shark company may be in advanced negotiations to be acquired by Tencent, according to reports in January.
