Casio announces Baby-G commemorating Hello Kitty’s 50th anniversary


A Casio announced the launch of a special watch for its collection BABY-G. The new BGD565KT highlights the character Hello Kitty from the Sanrio celebrating the kitten’s 50th birthday and the 30th anniversary of BABY-G.

This collaboration watch is based on BGD-565which inherits the design of the first model BABY-G. The new feature adopts the white, red and blue color scheme of the company’s original designs. Hello Kitty from 1974. Red and blue band rings complement the main tone of white in the design.

The bracelet, made from bio-based resin, is adorned with printed faces of the charming 70s animated character, smiling, winking and expressing surprise. When the backlight is activated, his eyes, nose and whiskers appear on the watch’s LCD, covered by the ribbon design on the dial, completing the watch’s face. Hello Kitty.

In addition to presenting 50 details of the Hello Kitty throughout the watch in celebration of its 50th anniversary, this special collaboration model is uniquely packaged, including a cloth pouch inspired by the watch’s design. Highlighting the original aesthetics of this character, this BABY-G exudes a retro charm that pays homage to the classic design of Hello Kitty.
