Elipson expands its Heritage range with the XLS11 loudspeaker
Elipson have announced the latest addition to their range of Heritage loudspeakers in the XLS11, joining the larger XLS15 as part of the series.
The XLS11 derives performance elements from the larger XLS15 in a more compact form factor for greater flexibility when integrating speakers into the home. Designed in Burgundy, France, the units exude a retro vibe, but inside their casing is a modern setup, a 3-way speaker with a bass-reflex design and a flared port at the front.
There’s an all-new 2.2-inch dome drive unit that covers the midrange, while high frequencies are handled by a 0.87-inch silk dome tweeter derived from the flagship Prestige series. For bass, another new driver in the form of an 8-inch unit is an evolution of the XLS15’s 12-inch woofer.
Adjustments can be made to the sound at the front of the speaker, with mid and high frequency amplitude altered by + or – 2dB “to account for variables” in the listening room.
Elipson describes performance and musicality as the key idea in the development of the XLS11 loudspeaker, reflected in the speed and control of the drive units throughout the frequency range that the hi-fi brand says brings “pleasure and enjoy everyone.” musical genres”.
A dedicated stand, available at extra cost, allows the speaker to be positioned at the optimal height and angle for perfect acoustic phase. And the price of the speakers themselves? The XLS11s are priced at £1499.99 a pair, while the brackets will cost £249.99. They are available to buy now from Elipson Heritage loudspeakers or by contacting UK dealer Avoke Ltd on 01628 857958.
