The iPhone’s Mute Unknown Calls feature is a great way to avoid annoying robocalls without having to keep your iPhone silent. Before iOS 13, iPhone users had to rely on third-party apps of varying effectiveness to block unwanted calls. In this article, we will show you how to find and activate Silence Unknown Calls. We’ll also show you how to disable the feature if you find that you’re missing important calls and don’t want calls from unknown numbers to be muted. Here’s how to enable Silence Unknown Calls on your iPhone:
- Open the Settings app.
- Scroll down and tap Telephone.
- Tap on Mute unknown calls.
- Tap the lever next to Mute unknown calls to enable the setting.
Now, instead of being interrupted by calls from unknown numbers, your iPhone will direct those calls to your voicemail for you to review later. To turn off Mute Unknown Calls, just follow the steps above again, but this time you will turn off the feature instead of turning it on.
