How to switch from Android to iPhone
So you’re switching, or planning to switch, from Android to iPhone. The good news is that it’s no longer the hugely disruptive jump it used to be.
With a little help from Apple’s welcome setup process and its Move to iOS app, you can now copy contacts, message history, photos, files, settings, accounts, and bookmarks from anywhere. ‘Android to iPhone with one touch.
Here’s how to switch from Android to iPhone.
Note that the first four steps go through the initial setup of your iPhone, but the real thing starts with the Apps & Data screen in Step 5.

Turn on the new iPhone
Turn on your new or erased iPhone. You should be greeted by the Hello screen. Then swipe up to start the setup process and select your language and country/region. On the next quick start screen, tap Set up manually.

Add Wi-Fi and password
Add a Wi-Fi network and enter a password as shown. Tap Next, then wait for the initial setup phase to complete.

Data and privacy and Face ID
Go to the Data & Privacy screen, then click Continue and set up Face ID, then add a password.

On the Apps & data screen, tap Move Android data.

Download Move to iOS
On your Android device, open the Google Play Store and download Apple’s Move to iOS app.

Open the Migrate to iOS app on your Android device and tap Continue. Accept the terms and conditions, then tap Continue on the Find your code screen.

Enter the code
Back on your iPhone, tap Continue. Write down the code that appears and enter it on your Android device.

Connect your devices
Your two devices will form a temporary Wi-Fi connection. Tap Connect on your Android device when prompted.

Choose and transfer content
On your Android device, select the content you want to transfer (text messages, bookmarks, etc.) and tap Continue. Leave the two devices alone and close to each other until both indicate that they have completed the transfer.
Now continue with the iPhone setup process.
Repair
Why doesn’t it work on my devices?
You may not have enough power in any of the devices, so plug them in. Also check that no Android processes (such as Smart Network Switch) are active.
