Since Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Brilliant Pearl (BDSP) have their own exclusive Pokémon version, you must trade to empty your Pokédex. There are over 493 Pokémon in BDSP once you unlock the National Pokédex, so trading will help you reach your goals much faster.

As with previous Pokémon games, many people use trading as an opportunity to acquire shiny Pokémon, mythical Pokémon, legendary Pokémon, or other rare creatures. That is how.

Note: Players must have a Nintendo Switch Online membership to participate in all online features, including online transactions.
