  • Launch Settings from your home screen.
  • Tap Messages. You may have to scroll a bit to find it.
  • Tap Send & Receive.

  • Touch the number you want to remove. Those that are currently in use are marked with a check mark.
  • Tap Delete

  • As the dialog indicates, this means your phone number is no longer used for iMessage and FaceTime.

    This process can also be done through the FaceTime section of your Settings app, although the result is the same. You can still use the deleted number for regular calls and texts.

  • Tap Sign out.

  • Signing out this way will leave only your phone number as the contact method for FaceTime, and email addresses associated with your Apple ID will be removed from the list.
