iOS 18: CONFIRMATIONS! “Artificial Intelligence” on iPhone!

According to what the source reported today, iOS 18 will present the world’s first Siri Artificial Intelligence (AI) for iPhone.

As previously confirmed, Apple is developing a wide range of features that use generative artificial intelligence, including a new version of Siri, which could be launched as early as next year, according to the very famous journalist Mark Gurman of SamaGame News.

In his latest “Power On” newsletter, Gurman reported that Apple executives were “caught off guard” by the sudden industry interest in “artificial intelligence” and have been working hard and anxiously since late last year so to make up for lost time.

Apple’s senior vice president of machine learning and AI strategy, John Giannandrea, and senior vice president of software engineering Craig Federighi are apparently leading the company’s AI efforts. Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of services, also seems involved in the immediate push and exit for 2024.

Giannandrea is said to be overseeing the development of the underlying technologies for a new artificial intelligence system. In particular, his team is working on a new “smarter version of Siri” that is deeply integrated with artificial intelligence.

About iOS 18

For one thing, Gurman says Apple is working on a very powerful chatbot tool, which some engineers have dubbed “Apple GPT” to rival OpenAI’s ChatGPT. This algorithm would be the best ever seen in the world, and is generating great predictions and expectations at Apple.

Furthermore, there is also talk of a possible design change, which would see icons and menus change after a very long time. In particular, according to the System Settings page on Twitter, Apple has given us a small preview of what the new iOS 18 will be like, or rather, of the new design that we will see in June 2024, during the presentation of this new update for iPhone and iPad.

In short, we are waiting for June 2024 to discover this and other news for iPhone, with the new iOS 18.
