K-pop megastars BTS land on weekly Apple Music 1 show starting May 28

K-pop crew BTS will host their own three-episode Apple Music 1 radio show starting May 28 with new episodes arriving weekly. The first will premiere at 6 am PDT. The show will be called BTS Radio: Past & Present.

ABC News reports that the band will “take listeners on their quest for stardom as they share stories and songs that shaped them.”

“We wanted to use this radio show to celebrate nine years of BTS with you and our ARMY around the world,” RM said of the seven-member band, which also includes J-Hope, Suga, Jungkook, V, Jin, and Jimin.

“Each episode is dedicated to you,” RM continues. “And we wanted to share BTS songs that help tell our story.”

The first episode is set to examine the songs that inspired their unique sound, while the second will see the band pick out some of their fan favorite songs. The latest episode will take a closer look at how the group managed to explode beyond the K-pop scene and rise to worldwide fame.

Apple Music continues to leverage its relationships with record labels and artists to offer exclusive content like this. He recently held a special live concert with Harry Styles and his latest album, while collaborations between Apple Music and big-name artists are far from uncommon.

Apple Music is available as a subscription for $4.99 per month and is also available as part of the Apple One subscription plan.
