Today, third-party developers released new assets dedicated to upcoming add-ons for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Today, third-party developers released new assets dedicated to upcoming add-ons for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

We start with PMDG’s long-awaited Boeing 737-700, receiving a series of detailed video tutorials from a PMDG team member and a real-world 737NG pilot.

You can check out the playlist below, which already includes videos on inspection and safety tour, refueling and ground handling, and flight management computer setup.

More will likely be added soon.

Airplane Heaven then provided an update on the development of its upcoming DC-3/C-47, mentioning that the developer is currently waiting for the flight modeling work to be outsourced to another company.

We are posting this message to stop the number of update requests/requests in this version.

We have to clarify some points.

1) No, it has not been canceled

2) We are awaiting flight modeling which is programmed externally using significant data from flight tests of the period. This takes time and a lot of effort as the goalposts keep moving with continuous SIM card updates.

3) When we have the battle model, we can finalize the sounds that are professionally designed, again, outside.

We have received many requests for release dates that we simply cannot estimate, it does not make sense, we are in the hands of professional providers. The number of providers in this area has decreased significantly since the introduction of MSFS and they are all extremely busy.

We would appreciate if people would give us the necessary patience while we try to produce this important addition to the best of our ability. Yeah, it’s taken a little over a year so far, which is nothing compared to some other ongoing productions elsewhere.

More importantly, we would also appreciate it if the abusive and insulting emails and comments we receive would stop. We do not hurt anyone or take money. We just take the time to get this right. We do NOT deserve the virulent abuse we have been subjected to by “school kids” who want their toys now.

We will continue to post updates and additional information regarding the release of DC-3 and its release as appropriate.
