Relevant news was shared today about two of the most anticipated planes for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

We start with the Airbus A320 from Fenix Simulations. The team has been pretty quiet for the past two months, but project lead Aamir Thacker confirmed on the developer’s Discord server that “as long as the incoming MSFS patch doesn’t break too much,” he expects the plane to launch “in days, not months. .

Thacker also provided a very small hint about possible prizes. To a user who told him that he had reserved £140 for the plane, he responded by asking how many copies he planned to buy for that amount of money. You can do whatever you want with it.

If you’re not familiar with it, the Fenix Airbus A320 is a high-precision interpretation of the CEO version of the popular airliner that will initially ship with CFM56 engines and wingtip fencing. Other options can be added down the line.

It’s been in beta since February, and Microsoft Flight Simulator fans have been eagerly awaiting it ever since it was announced in July 2021.

Moving on to the highly anticipated next aircraft, PMDG has announced pricing details for its Boeing 737, following yesterday’s launch date announcement, along with more launch information.

We learn that the initial variant (737-700 that includes passenger, cargo and Boeing Business Jet flavors) will cost $69.99 at launch. When the second variant is released, this “promotional price” will end and go up to $74.99.

It will initially be available only on the developer’s official website between 17:00 and 23:50 GMT on May 9.

Preliminary estimates for other versions are the same price as the -700 for the -800, around $50 for the -600, and yet to be determined for the -900.

Estimated release dates (which are subject to change) are approximately June 20 for -600, August 1 for -800, and September 12 for -900.

The packs are unlikely to come into play before mid-2023.

The official market availability of Microsoft Flight Simulator will occur in the future after the developer makes sure that the product is stable. Availability on Xbox is planned, but the release window is unknown.
