Today, Vaulted Sky Games and Coffee Stain Publishing released a new Midnight Ghost Hunt gameplay trailer.
The trailer is essentially a full-blown sampling of the game’s mechanics, combining third-person shooter elements with hide-and-seek mechanics in some pretty interesting Ghostbusters-style online matches.
The game will be in early access on Steam this spring, so you’ll soon be able to enjoy it for yourself. Below you can see the trailer itself and a list of features for the Early Access launch.

MIDNIGHT GHOST HUNT IS A MULTIPLAYER GHOST GAME!
Lurking in a series of cursed locations, unrelenting spirits stalk the halls. The Ghostbusters are tasked with eliminating them, armed to the teeth with anti-ghoul technology to banish them to another realm! He plays Ghost and Hunter in a chaotic 4v4 fight between the living and the dead.
CACHE-cache ironic
As a ghost, hide inside seemingly harmless furniture to evade predatory hunters… but when they turn their backs, turn the environment against them with a telekinetic barrage. No chair, lamp or grandfather clock is innocent in this frenzy of mischief.
MIDNIGHT EVIL
The party is not over yet… when the clock strikes noon, the hour of sorcery begins and the hunters become the hunted. The tables turn and the ghosts overfeed, giving the hunters limited time to survive their vengeful wrath.
4v4 MULTIPLAYER MURDER
Play together and communicate with your team and ensure a triumphant victory, giving them clues about the paths that enemies tend to take. Synergize with your team’s abilities to outmaneuver and outsmart your opponents.
HARNESS SUPERNATURAL ABILITIES
The restrictions of reality do not apply to ghosts, of course. Reclaim your supernatural powers, including turning invisible, floating furniture, and conjuring a dangerous ghostly miasma. Ghosts can even hide in plain sight by posing as a hunter!
Ghostly perks include avoiding traps with Untrappable, seeing nearby hunters through walls with Perception, and extending possession range with Ghostly Reach.
ARMED AND READY
Hunters must choose their weapons from a wide range of high-tech devices designed to hunt down ghosts from our plane of existence. Detect ghostly presences with the Spectrophone, Radar, and Pathfinder, capture them with a trap and vacuum up their spectral remains, or simply shoot them with the spectral cannon, maces, harpoons, salt bomb, and more.
Hunters can also select perks to give them a special boost. Choose from Lightweight’s bonus speed, Healing Aura’s health restoration abilities, and a host of other powers to get ahead of the game.
A FULL OF LETTERS TO THE BLOOD OF WAX
Explore a variety of haunting settings, including an abandoned theater, a strange mansion, and a cursed pirate ship. Each location brings with it different tactical and throwing considerations…as well as various opportunities to play tricks on your opponents.
