Nothing shares phone camera samples (1) ahead of July 12 launch, camera specs revealed
The Nothing Phone (1) arrives on July 12 with dual rear cameras, and the company has shared a bunch of unedited, unfiltered camera samples to show us what they can do. You can check out some of them below and download them in full size from here if you want to review them.

In addition to sharing the camera samples, Nothing also revealed the specifications of the phone’s camera (1). The main camera uses a 50MP Sony IMX766 1/1.56″ sensor with an f/1.88 aperture, while the ultra-wide unit has a 114° field of view. The camera system has two OIS and EIS, and can also record video with 1 billion colors.
The phone (1) will also come with night mode and scene detection, the latter of which automatically identifies what you’re shooting and suggests the best settings for shooting.
While most modern smartphones have 3-4 rear cameras, Nothing prides itself on only having two cameras on the back of the phone (1) that deliver great results rather than having three or four cameras that perform less well. Awesome.
“They are stacking cameras. Think that more is more. But more just means more lower cameras. For an illusion of innovation. More lidar sensors than you will ever use. More to have fun. Just so you get more out of it. So The phone (1) only has two cameras. Two great. Not mediocre four,” Nothing said in a blog post.
