What is the Power Plant event in Pokémon Go?

The Power Plant event is the final event in the Season of Heritage story for Pokémon Go. Spark, the leader of Team Instinct, has determined that the final lockdown of Mysterious Gate will require Electric-type Pokémon to be unlocked. He uses Trainers to catch and battle Pokémon from the Kanto and Kalos power plants, including a newcomer to Pokémon Go: Helioptile!

However, Spark isn’t the only one trying to get through that door. After months of near silence, it looks like Team GO Rocket is invading again!

When is the Power Plant event in Pokémon Go?

The Power Plant event started on January 19 and will last until February 1, 2022. It is divided into two parts, with the second part starting on January 24.

During the Power Plant event, the following Pokémon will see their appearances increase:

The raids for the Power Plant event are divided into two halves. The first half of the event will take place from January 19 to 24, and the second half will end on February 1. In addition to a special variety of raids, legendary raids during the event feature exclusive moves. Genesect (Shock Drive) caught during the first half of the event will know Techo Blast, while Regice caught during the second half will know Thunder.

Team GO Rocket is invading! Spark found a top secret Team GO Rocket document detailing the takeover plans. This acquisition features new Shadow Pokémon, new builds for Team GO Rocket leaders, and an increase in Team GO Rocket invasions.
