Realme Pad X could be a new high-end Android tablet competitor
Realme showed off some of the specifications of its upcoming high-end Android tablet, Realme Pad X, just before its official launch.
Realme will officially unveil the Pad X on May 26, just two days from now. However, as is often the case with these China launches, the company offered a huge splurge of pre-announcement information.
On the Chinese social network Weibo, Realme’s Xu Chi Chase went over some of the things we can expect. The Realme Pad X will feature an 11-inch 2K LCD screen, which will be flanked by four Dolby Atmos-compatible speakers.
Another interesting tidbit is that the Pad X will mimic Apple’s Center Stage feature, ensuring subjects stay in focus on video calls when using the iPad’s ultra-wide selfie camera.
The Realme Pad X has also been confirmed to have an 8,340mAh battery and 33W charging. You will also be able to expand your storage with a MicroSD card slot.
It was previously reported that the Pad X would be powered by a Snapdragon 870 chip. It’s a fairly old chip now and has never really been a flagship component, but it served the Lenovo Tab P12 Pro reasonably well.
After several years of meekly taking a kick from the overbearing iPad, the market for high-end Android tablets seems to be picking up.
Samsung continues to produce excellent high-end tablets like the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, Lenovo produced the beautiful Lenovo Tab P12 Pro, and even Google is getting back into the high-end tablet game with the Pixel tablet.
