Samsung discreetly formalizes the Galaxy M13

Samsung quietly announced a new entry-level smartphone today, and it’s not part of the wildly successful A-series. Instead, it is part of the much more confused and less defined M family. Discover the Galaxy M13.

As the first issue strongly suggests, this is an entry-level smartphone that should be quite affordable, though we can’t comment on that as Samsung has yet to reveal pricing. That said, expect the M13 to be offered in Europe at least.

The phone comes with a 6.6-inch FHD+ display with a V-notch, the Exynos 850 chipset at the helm, 4GB of RAM, 64 or 128GB of expandable storage, and a 5,000mAh battery. It has three rear cameras: a main 50 MP f / 1.8, a 5 MP f / 2.2 ultra wide angle and a 2 MP f / 2.4 depth sensor. Selfies are supported by an 8 MP f/2.2 snapper.

The Galaxy M13 runs Android 12 under Samsung’s One UI Core 4.1. “Core” means that not all the features seen in One UI 4.1 will be present, due to the entry-level hardware. This M13 does not support 5G, although if recent leaks are to be believed, a 5G M13 should be released very soon. The Galaxy M13 will be offered in Deep Green, Orange Copper, and Light Blue. It has dual SIM functionality and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
