Good news for video game fans residing in the Iberian Peninsula. The AEVI (Spanish Video Game Association) has announced that this 2016 it will launch a new fair dedicated to video games, the Barcelona Games World, an event in which the general and professional public will be able to come and try some of the new features that have been released or will be released on PC and consoles at the end of the year, participate in tournaments, attend talks and much more.
Although at first many media outlets assumed that the fair would replace Madrid Games Weekwhich has been held for the last few years in the capital of Spain, the organization itself has confirmed through its official Twitter account that Madrid will continue to have its video game fairso in principle there would be two fairs held in this country instead of one as it had been doing so far.
The Barcelona Games World will be held from October 6 to 9 and both its format and its objective will be very similar to those of Madrid Games Week, to continue growing in number and international projection. We will soon have news about the Madrid fair, and we hope to know more details about the Catalan one, such as ticket sales day or price very soon.
