The complete specifications of the Xiaomi 12 Lite are filtered
Xiaomi has already released three members of its latest flagship family: Xiaomi 12, 12 Pro and 12X. However, this range is sure to grow in the future, with a much-talked-about 12 Ultra, and another model that may actually be official before that: the Xiaomi 12 Lite.
As the name suggests, this would be the successor to last year’s Mi 11 Lite 5G and 11 Lite 5G NE, although the updates on the latter are certainly not many. Previously leaked renders you can see below suggest a Xiaomi 12-like design and a curved screen (which the 2021 models didn’t have).
Additionally, the 6.55-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel will have a 120Hz refresh rate, according to a new leak today, and that’s a jump from the 11 Lite 5G NE’s 90Hz. The battery has also been expanded, now 4,500mAh with 67W fast charging, up from 4,250mAh with 33W support in last year’s models.
Otherwise, the Xiaomi 12 Lite is basically a Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE, with the same Snapdragon 778G chipset, 6/8GB of RAM, 128/256GB of storage, 64MP main camera with OIS, 8MP ultrawide camera, and 2MP camera. 5MP macro.
The fingerprint sensor will be understated this time around and won’t be mounted on the side, which can be considered an upgrade or downgrade depending on what you prefer. Interestingly, the 12 Lite’s selfie snapper is 16 MP, up from 20 MP on its predecessor. As expected, Xiaomi 12 Lite is expected to launch Android 12 with MIUI 13 on top.
