We still do not have an official release date for Gran Turismo Sport, but some rumors suggest that the development of the long-awaited title of Poliphony Digital could be being more complex than expected and the title (whose Beta version was scheduled for this spring) would arrive much later than expected.
According to Cyril Drevet, one of the journalists invited to the last event that was held behind closed doors at the beginning of the year by Poliphony Digital, the development of the game would apparently be going very slowly and would be taking longer than expected.
Regarding the official launch date, the journalist himself says that things are “complicated” since Apparently March was going to be the month chosen by Poliphony to show something and finally all this has been postponed. According to Cyril himself (these are the opinions of the journalist himself, not of Poliphony Digital) he does not believe that this year we will see anything from the expected driving title.
For now, we will have to treat the news as what it is, a mere rumor, since neither Sony nor Poliphony Digital have made any statements regarding it.
