If you’re strapped for cash and looking for a new video game, we may have some good news for you. Yes, Prime Gaming, Amazon’s custom gaming service, has a pretty legendary title that’s likely to keep you busy for a few hundred hours.
That’s right, Mass Effect Legendary Edition is available today for the tempting price of, well, absolutely free. That said, there are a few caveats to consider.
First, the offer is only eligible for PC users. So if your platform of choice is console-only, unfortunately this offer will be null and void for you.
Second, you’ll also need to be a Prime Gaming subscriber (which is included with an Amazon Prime membership) in order to take advantage of this freebie. If you’re wondering, this subscription service will set you back $14.99 / £7.99 per month, but it’s worth noting that new users can get a 30-day free trial, which you can cancel at any time.
With an impressive Metacritic score of 86 out of 28 reviews, Mass Effect Legendary Edition was definitely one of the most critically acclaimed games of 2020.
However, for those who don’t know, Mass Effect Legendary Edition is a remastered collection of BioWare’s three hit sci-fi RPGs. Unfortunately, the widely derided fourth sequel, 2017’s Mass Effect Andromeda, is not part of this collection.
In other Mass Effect-related news, BioWare has officially confirmed publicly that its acclaimed sci-fi action-adventure series will continue, and that the next Dragon Age title is halfway through.
