Ultimate Fishing Simulator 2 officially announced for PC and consoles

Ultimate Games SA announced that the bestseller Ultimate Fishing Simulator will have a sequel. The developers promise various new features and improvements. Ultimate Fishing Simulator 2 will offer, among others, significantly improved graphics, third-person viewing, as well as new dynamic artificial intelligence systems of water and fish. The simulator will debut on Steam Early Access in the second half of this year, while the launch on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, as well as on Xbox One and Xbox Series X is scheduled for 2021.

The second installment of the popular fishing simulator was developed by the Polish studio MasterCode and will be published by Ultimate Games SA

Ultimate Fishing Simulator, which arrived on PC in August 2018, is the highest rated simulator in its class. Currently, the positive review rate on Steam is 86% and the game holds a Metascore of 70/100. Ultimate Games SA reports that over 115,000 people have purchased the game so far and the total number of add-ons sold has exceeded 100,000. The VR edition released a few months ago has also become very popular.

“The fishing game, which we released nearly two years ago, has been warmly received by players. In Ultimate Fishing Simulator 2 we will deliver fun to an even higher level. We are preparing many improvements and various new features. They are largely based on feedback from the community that has formed around our game, for which we would like to thank you. Ultimately, our simulator will set a new standard for fishing games ”- says Mateusz Zawadzki, CEO of Ultimate Games SA

The second part of the simulator aims to stand out thanks to, among other things, significantly improved graphics, optional third-person view (TPP), as well as new dynamic artificial intelligence systems of water and fish. The developers of MasterCode have also announced various other new features and changes. This means, for example, that the models of other players are visible in the multiplayer mode, a modified and refined underwater camera (close-ups with the hook and the fish), as well as the possibility to fish in a certain fishing activity at different times of the year.

Ultimate Fishing Simulator 2 is a big step forward. The fish, fishing and equipment models will be distinguished by even greater attention to detail. The first installment of the game has already distinguished itself thanks to a unique feature: the permanent physical presence of the fish in fishing, while in the competition games the fish appeared only after throwing the rod. However, we are planning further improvements and the introduction of a living fish system based, among other things, on the time of day. This way the fish will move throughout the catch, but it will depend on some values. For example, a fish will move from point X to Y during feeding, and during resting time it will seek refuge and swim from point Y to Z. We are also planning to allocate individual fish species among other innovations. to different parts of the fishing, to reflect reality as much as possible. Thanks to this, predators could live in areas with dense vegetation and, for example, carp would attack in places near the sandy bottom or hiding places made of tree branches. Such an in-depth and reality-based approach will also be visible in other parts of the game “- promises Rafał Jelonek, COO of Ultimate Games SA

As the game’s developers indicate, Ultimate Fishing Simulator 2 will be a proposition not only for virtual fishing enthusiasts. The simulator will also be out for a suitably simplified mode for new players who have not had previous contact with fishing and gaming of this type.
