Earlier today, a parade related to the Pokemon Air Adventures initiative was held in Japan.

The parade took place in Chatan, one of the towns on the main island of Okinawa, and featured a super cute Pikachu team dancing, traditional local music, local band HY, and the Pokemon Air Adventure theme song, “Sorairo”, which translates as “Color of the sky”.

It will be followed tomorrow by a live concert in the same city, and we’ll be sure to post the video as well when it’s released so you can enjoy it on demand.

You can take a look at the video below. Interestingly, the speakers introduced the parade in both Japanese and English, which certainly makes sense considering it was primarily a tourist attraction.

If you don’t know, the Pokémon Air Adventures project was born to promote the return of aviation and tourism in Japan after the downturn caused by the pandemic. Among its initiatives are two Pikachu Jets operated by Skymark (the second of which will debut in late May).
