Weekly poll: Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G, Redmi Note 11S 5G and Redmi 10 5G compete for your attention

Xiaomi launched three new phones earlier this week. Well, it was actually more of a relaunch, as all three already existed in Xiaomi’s lineup in one form or another. Still, expanding availability means they’re new to a lot of people. But are these people interested? Let’s find out.

The Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G is the same phone that was launched in China and is sold as 11i HyperCharge 5G in India. As its name suggests, it supports fast charging (120 W, 100% in 15 minutes for its 4,500 mAh battery). It also has a 6.67-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, a Dimensity 920 chipset, and a 108 MP (+ 8 MP ultrawide) main camera.

This bundle will set you back $370 for a base 6/128GB model, with 8/128GB ($400) and 8/256GB ($450) options available. The Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G will be available on AliExpress starting Wednesday and will come with early bird discounts ($20, $30, and $40 respectively).

Let’s review some alternatives. The full price of the Realme GT Neo3 has yet to be revealed, but if it’s close, it will tempt you with a more powerful Dimensity 8100 chipset, as well as the option of a 5,000mAh battery with 80W charging or a 4,500mAh battery with 80W charging. 150 W. The GT Neo2 costs €450, so this might be overpriced.

The Realme 9 Pro+ costs €380 and offers a smaller 6.4-inch 90Hz AMOLED screen as well as the same Dimensity 920 chipset. The main camera has a similarly sized 50MP sensor with OIS, the 4500 mAh is noticeably slower to charge at 60 W (100% in 44 minutes).

The Redmi Note 11S 5G that we have already seen as the Poco M4 Pro 5G. Unlike the Note 11S 4G, this model has a larger 6.6-inch IPS LCD display (vs 6.43-inch AMOLED, both 90Hz), Dimensity 810 (vs Helio G96), and a 50MP primary camera (vs. 108 MP) and an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera. . Both phones have 5,000mAh batteries with a 33W fast charge (100% in just under an hour).

The Redmi Note 11S 5G starts at $250 for a 4/64GB drive and is also available in 4/128GB ($280) and 6/128GB ($300) versions. What else can you get for that kind of money? Depending on where you live, your options may be slim.

The Samsung Galaxy F23 is expected to cost the same in India, if not slightly less. It’s similar with a 6.6-inch 120Hz IPS LCD display, Snapdragon 750G chipset, 50MP primary camera, and 5,000mAh battery with 25W charging. Not widely available. The Galaxy A33 5G looks interesting, but Samsung has not yet announced the price.

Two Snapdragon 695-powered options are the Honor X9 5G (should be slightly more expensive than the 11S) with a larger 6.81-inch 120Hz IPS LCD display, 4800mAh battery with faster 66W charging (81% in 30 minutes) and less impressive camera setup. (48MP main, not ultrawide). The iQOO Z6 may not be available worldwide, but it does offer a 6.58-inch 120Hz IPS LCD display, 50MP main camera (not ultra-wide), and a 5000mAh battery (18W charging) .

The third and last model is the Redmi 10 5G, also known as the Redmi Note 11E. The spec sheet is short and sweet: 6.58-inch 90Hz IPS LCD, Dimensity 700, 50MP camera, 5000mAh battery (18W charging). It’s the only one of the three models that doesn’t have a microSD slot, however all three have 3.5mm headphone jacks (we know how important these features are to some).

The Redmi 10 5G starts at $200 for the 4/64GB model and goes up to $230 for the 4/128GB model.

The Galaxy A22 5G is also powered by a Dimensity 700, has a similar screen and battery setup, and even includes a basic 5MP ultrawide camera. It’s a model from last year, but with the promise of three OS updates, it should hit Android 14 and should have a year of security patches after that.

The Realme 9 SE may be out of your price range, but the standard Realme 9 5G will go toe-to-toe with the Redmi. This one has a microSD slot and a better selfie camera (16 MP vs. the rather low 5 MP on the Redmi 10 5G).
