Xiaomi 12 Ultra specs leak with most pros and some cons

The Xiaomi 12 Ultra specs appear to have been leaked online, revealing a host of high-end specs and a couple of minor disappointments.

Prolific tipster Yogesh Brar took to Twitter to post a list of key specs for the Xiaomi 12 Ultra, which will sit above the Xiaomi 12 Pro as the brand’s new super flagship option this year.

As you can see, that’s pretty much what you’d expect from a flagship Android release in the second half of 2022.

You get a high-quality 6.7-inch QHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. You also get a speedy Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, which should provide a modest performance boost over the early 2022 crowd.

There’s also a meaty triple camera system, headed by a 50MP wide sensor and backed by a 48MP ultra-wide and 5x 48MP periscope telephoto lens.

However, we are a bit disappointed to see a drop in battery power. With a 4,800 mAh battery, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra is less bulky than its 5,000 mAh predecessor, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra (pictured), not to mention most of its main 2022 rivals.

There’s been no progress on the charging front either, with the same 67W wired charging support. That’s not bad, of course, but the (presumably) less expensive Xiaomi 12 Pro offers 120W charging. 50W wireless charging support is a step down from the 67W on the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra.

We’ll have to wait and see if those specs materialize when the Xiaomi 12 Ultra launches later this year.
