Sony president Ken Kutaragi has announced some more plans regarding the PlayStation 3 Cell processor. For example, it was already known that the console would be able to display the image at no less than 120 fps, while it was hoped for around 60 fps. Competitor Microsoft only manages to achieve a paltry 30 fps on the Xbox 360, which in itself will be just enough for the human eye to keep it watchable.
He also says that the Cell chip will not only be suitable for the PS3 but also for high-definition televisions from Sony. For example, the chip can decode multiple HDTV signals simultaneously and the chip can provide inverted and stretched images of the whole that will be conjured up.
Most of it may have been announced before, but it has all been confirmed again today, you can read the official article here read.
