‘Dynasty Warriors: Eiketsuden’ announced for PS4, PS3 and PS Vita

The latest installment of the popular Famitsu magazine has revealed that Koei Tecmo plans a comeback of the renowned franchise Dynasty Warriors for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita in Japan throughout 2016, this time with a tactical game RPG called Dynasty Warriors: Eiketsuden.

The game is being developed by the Omega Force studio and will have as protagonists to Zhao Yun, Lei Bin and Li Xia, who will command their units to achieve victory. As is typical in the franchise we will see handfuls of enemies approach at the same time, but since it now has an RPG feature, we will only be able to control one military command unit at a time; Even so, the characteristic action of the Dinasty Warriors series will continue to be present.

The development began last year when Omega Force decided it wanted explore a new genre. Producer Suzuki presented his intention to create a rich story with a deep setting. Romance of the Three Kingdoms was confirmed to be the game used as base in this opportunity.

Li Xia is a character who he doesn’t know anything about this world since he comes from another world, so Lei Bin usually explains everything to him. We also know that we will see many commanders appear, but Zhao Yun and the other protagonists will have a main focus. We will also find conversation events specials between friends from other games. About the system, it is an unorthodox RPG strategy system, with a world map to traverse and turn-based battles. The development is currently 70% complete,
