Asus ROG Phone 6 and Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition will be powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1
Qualcomm yesterday announced the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC with some performance and power efficiency improvements over the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, and 16 companies have confirmed smartphone launches with this new chip at the helm, starting in the third quarter of 2022. Furthermore, Realme founder and CEO Mr. Sky Li has announced that Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition will be one of the first Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 powered smartphones to hit the market.
Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition will be presented in China, but it is not clear if it will reach global markets. Last year’s Snapdragon 870-powered GT Master Explorer Edition was exclusive to China, so we’re not betting on its successor for a global launch.
