Microsoft bans Halo modification for C&C Generals

Microsoft has thrown a spanner in the works for some fanatical developers of a new mod for Command & Conquer Generals. The real time strategy would receive a modification that has been in the works for about 3 years now. The 3 Halo factions could compete against each other in a great battle. However, Microsoft has now announced that they must stop their activities. It would be an infringement of the rights of Bungie Studios, the men behind Halo. The project would now be shut down within a week and the community around the project would have to disappear. So it’s not very nice of Microsoft to only come up with the reporting now. The project was also hidden under the name ‘Halogen’. The website already shows a lot SQL errors see what the outcome of removing the site is likely to be. The forum has also largely been removed.
