The high-end audio brand MOON has presented its Voice 22 loudspeaker, the first in the history of the manufacturer Simaudio.

Simaudio has used its experience -more than forty years- to manufacture these loudspeakers using “premium materials and state-of-the-art technology”.

According to the Canada-based hi-fi brand, Voice 22 delivers the “rich, natural MOON sound” coupled with precise clarity that will have any music lover stomping their feet. The soundstage is meant to be wide to give enough room for every little detail and the “deep, clean bass to develop.”

The Voice 22 is best used in combination with a MOON amplifier, although Simaudio believes the speaker’s clarity and resolution can bring out the best in other audio systems as well.

The interesting design feature with the Voice 22 speaker is its integrated hover base. The floating base has been designed to provide stability and reduce vibration to prevent sound coloration, as well as to give the speaker a sleek, “floating” appearance.

Other ways to mount the speaker include a custom stand (suggesting that any old stand will not do for the MOON Voice 22). These custom-built stands are made from powder-coated stainless steel with a complementary matte black finish and a choice of spikes or rubber feet to ensure stability. They cost a hefty CA$500/$400/€480/£495.

The speakers themselves are available in a choice of high-gloss black or white finishes, featuring a 29mm waveguide soft dome tweeter to disperse high frequencies throughout a room, as well as a polypropylene cone woofer with 155mm mineral filler to take care of the media. and low frequencies.

The frequency response is said to be 55 Hz to 24 kHz and the frequency range is 45 Hz to 30 kHz with a 1.5 kHz crossover. Sensitivity is 89 dB, impedance is 6 ohms, and recommended power to drive the speakers is between 50 and 150 W. Prices are CAD 3,800 / $3,000 / €3,000 / £2,650 per pair.

Commenting on their first loudspeaker, Dominique Poupart, MOON Product Manager, said: “We are delighted that we can now have a complete MOON system, which would not be dependent on third-party loudspeakers. As with our other products, we have created our own designs and technologies, aiming for transparency and realism, while preserving the scale and dynamics of real musical instruments.

You can head to the MOON Audio website to book a free demo from UK stores that stock the speakers.
