As many of you know, Overwatch is the first Blizzard installment that is being developed also for consoles and not only for PC, including of course PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Therefore, we are not surprised to hear that at some point in that development they found themselves in need to ask for help from a company with more experience in the field of home consoles.
This was confirmed by the assistant game director, Aaron Keller, in an interview with GamesRadar, in which he added that the “aim assist” in the game was perfected by the developer of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, Treyarch. Keller assured that the help of “some developers” from Treyarch it was very useful to determine if the aim assist was really comfortable using controllers.
During the interview, Aaron Keller added the following words:
The fun thing is that we collaborate with a lot of Activision studios. We collaborated with the Destiny team, when they were making Destiny they wanted to talk to some of the World of Warcraft people to see how they made some of their content.
