With the longest development cycle of any Codemasters F1 title, F1 2019 includes a series of new features including the inclusion for the first time of the FIA Formula 2 Championship 2018where players can compete alongside F1 rookies George Russell, Lando Norris and Alexander Albon.

The game starts with the F2 feeder series; an addition that alters the outcome of the game based on the player’s success, actions, and responses. The 2019 F2 season will be added as downloadable digital content throughout the year.

Another novelty are driver signings in Career Mode and that, for the most part, occur at the end of each season. Established stars, including reigning F1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton and his main rival Sebastian Vettel, can now form an unlikely alliance or continue their racing rivalry in the colors of entirely new teams. . All new contracts are performance-based, so talent will determine the opportunity to sign a title contender with a string of solid results or be relegated to a team whose goals are much less ambitious.

F1 2019 has 18 classic vehicles commemorating each decade from the 1970s to 2010. We can relive great moments of yesteryear in the best performing vehicles of their generation, including the 1972 Lotus 72D, the 1988 McLaren MP4/4, the 1988 Williams FW18 1996 until the Red Bull RB6 of 2010.

Additionally, the Legends Edition of F12019 features Ayrton Senna’s McLaren MP4-25 and Alain Prost’s Ferrari F1-90 from 1990 along with the McLaren MP4-25 and the Ferrari F10, which will be part of the anniversary edition of F1 2019 that launches today, Friday, June 28. We can also customize a 2019 regulated vehicle, created in collaboration with Ross Brawn and Pat Symonds, with a series of liveries and the option to compete online in multiplayer mode.

With the third season of the F1 New Balance Esports series which continues to grow at a good pace, we will be able to keep up to date with the latest news, event details, watch live broadcasts and highlights through the new eSports section of the game. Throughout the year, players who wish to compete competitively and try to earn a place among the ten F1 teams can register and participate in future matches directly through the game.

F1 2019 is now available in all its editions for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, and you can read our complete analysis in this post.
