‘DUST 514’ closes definitively in May

Its time has finally come, one of the exclusive free-to-play titles for PlayStation 3, DUST 514, announces that it will definitely close its servers and will stop working as of next May 30. So PlayStation 3 will be left without one of its free online multiplayer titles.

CCP Games has definitively announced the closure of the servers to focus on a new title, which for the moment will be exclusive to PC.

We are very proud of what we have achieved on PlayStation 3 with DUST 514 over the last three years. It has been an honor to be part of such an involved community. We consider that the game has been one of the best free-to-play offers but time has caught up with us […] Therefore, we inform you that on May 30 the game will close its doors.

Nevertheless, The studio has reported that the 1.3 update that they had pending to launch in the game is still underway and will meet its planned deadlines. They have also reported that all packs available in the Sony Store have been withdrawn.
