The Samsung Galaxy S2 remains a bestseller

Samsung has sold a total of 10 million Galaxy S2s in just 5 months since the smartphone was launched.

The Galaxy S2 is the most successful cell phone from Samsung, ahead of the Samsung Star (without Android) and the S2 predecessor, the Galaxy S. The Star needed six months to clear the 10 million hurdle and the Galaxy S seven months. Korea accounts for the largest share of sales with 3.6 million units, closely followed by Europe with 3.4 million. In the rest of Asia, around 2.3 million models were sold over the counter.

The Galaxy S II is now launching in the USA. However, the US version of the Android smartphone differs visually and in terms of hardware from the version for Europe and Asia.
