Xiaomi’s Redmi introduced the Redmi Note 11 Pro, Note 11 Pro+ 5G and Watch 2 Lite in India yesterday, but the month is not over yet as the company announced today that it will launch the Redmi 10 in India on March 17.

However, the Redmi 10 that will arrive in India next week is not the one that was unveiled last August or February this year (called Redmi 10 2022) with Helio G88 SoC. We are facing a new smartphone.

Redmi has yet to detail the specifications of the Indian model Redmi 10, but the company gave us a preview of its design and revealed some features. For starters, the Indian Redmi 10 will be powered by a 6nm Snapdragon chip and sport a notch display instead of one with a centered punch hole.

The smartphone also has a textured back cover with a blemish-free finish, and now sports a square island, which houses a flash and dual cameras. The main camera uses a 50MP sensor and the secondary unit might just be a depth sensor.

The island also houses a fingerprint reader, reminiscent of the Realme Narzo 50A.

Redmi also touched on fast charging, “massive battery” and “super fast storage” on the Redmi 10, but did not go into detail.

While we wait for more details about the Indian Redmi 10, here is a small summary of the Redmi 10 released last August. The smartphone comes with Helio G88 SoC, 6.5″ 90Hz FullHD+ LCD, MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11, 8MP selfie camera, 50MP quad camera and 5000mAh battery with 18W charging.

It also has a side-mounted fingerprint reader and comes with stereo speakers.
