Jonathan Blow is more than happy, despite the many problems that his new game The Witness is encountering since its release. First, the game ran into criticism from many users about the price, since they considered that an indie game cannot go on sale for 36 euros. Subsequently, the title has had to deal with piracy in its PC version, to such an extent that Jonathan Blow himself had to come on stage to please stop pirating.
As you know, The Witness arrived a week ago on PlayStation 4 and PC, and apparently, according to the creator’s own words, it is achieving very good sales, since if it continues like this, the title would be about to exceed the sales of its first year To the previous creation of Blow, we talk about Braid.
It’s difficult to talk about numbers without breaking confidentiality agreements, however the game is on track to sell more in a week than Braid sold in a year.
A complete success if we take into account that when Braid was launched it was priced at approximately €15. The Witness currently has an average Metacritic score of 87 in its version for PlayStation 4.
