How to beat all bosses, rewards and more

How to beat all bosses, rewards and more

If you’re looking for a full breakdown of the Wasteland mode in Dislyte, we’ve got you covered on that front.

Added to the game with the Bloody Hunt update, Desolate Lands is an endgame PvE mode designed to give players a bit more control over how they want to level up their relics. Note that this mode requires a bit of team preparation, so if you’re still relatively new to Dislyte, feel free to bookmark this page and come back later once you have at least six Espers with good upgraded relics.

Table of Contents:

All bosses in Dislyte Desolate Lands

There are a total of four bosses available in Desolate Lands, and we’ve listed them below:

Each boss is linked to a different element. For example, Shadow Fire is suitable for Inferno, Shadow Gale is suitable for Wind, while Shadow Stream is suitable for Flow. While elemental buffs and weaknesses aren’t really a big deal in Dislyte, they’re always good to keep in mind when building your teams. These bosses also have different mechanics that you need to be aware of, and it is important to understand how to complete these mechanics in order to get the highest score possible.

How to get rank S and above

The rewards you get from Desolate Lands are based on your rank at the end of the fight. A big thanks to Reddit user ParallelHorizon who helped compile the data for the leaderboard leaderboards, as shown below:

Dealing 4,000,000 damage to a boss might seem like an insurmountable goal, and that’s probably the case for even the most hardcore players. However, the trick to getting a good score in Desolate Lands is to pay attention to a special mechanic in each boss fight to trigger a high score multiplier.

Below, we’ll go over the strategies for each boss fight, as well as the mechanics you need to be aware of during the fight.

Shadow of fire

Shadowfire will likely be the first Desolate Lands boss most players attempt in Dislyte, and here are the key factors that will help you win the fight:

In the middle of the fight, Shadowfire will cast the Flamelight Wheel, which will summon six Fiery Eyes. Once that happens, have all of your DPS characters focus on removing the ads as quickly as possible. If you don’t get past the adds, Shadowfire’s next attack will deal even more damage and could finish off the party.

On top of that, removing ads will ensure you get a higher score multiplier once the boss is stunned. Like all bosses in Desolate Lands, your goal is to get at least x8 or x16 multiplier to comfortably reach S rank and above, so make sure you clear the ads first.

Key Mechanic – Once the burning eyes appear, have your DPS characters take them out as quickly as possible. The more ads you kill, the higher your score multiplier will be.

gloomy gale

The Shadowgale fight isn’t too bad, though there are a few things to keep in mind:

Shadowgale’s core mechanic is the Wind Chain debuff. Towards the end of the fight, Shadowgale will hit the party hard with Wind Chain, and his next attack will deal increased damage based on how many Wind Chain stacks each character has.

Before the final attack, you’ll want to remove as many of Wind Chain’s debuffs as possible. Healers like Clara and Heng Yue will be very useful for this, though Ye Suhua can also complement this by giving a character invincibility before they hit Chains of Wind. Having controllers and backup characters on your team can also help increase your speed and AP while delaying Shadowgale’s turn, giving you plenty of time to clean up before his next attack.

The more Wind Chains you manage to clear, the higher your score multiplier will be after the next attack. After Shadow Gale hits you, you will have a chance to deal as much damage as possible, and this will be multiplied by the score multiplier you managed to get after Wind Chains. Try to aim for at least the x8 multiplier to ensure an easy S rank.

As long as you manage to survive his final attack with at least one esper, you’ll be safe.

Key Mechanics: Once Wind Chains are inflicted, have your Cleanup Espers like Clara or Heng Yue clean up as much as possible to get rid of the Wind Chains. The more debuffs you remove, the higher your score multiplier will be.

shadow stream

Shadowstream is a boss tuned into the Desolate Lands, and the strategy for this fight has a lot more to do with speed and hotspot manipulation. Here are the main conclusions:

In the middle of the fight, Shadowstream will cast Burst Nimbus, which will inflict five stacks of Venom Smear on all characters. You will have two towers before Impact Storm, which detonates all stacks of Venom Smear and increases the damage dealt based on the number of stacks remaining.

The tricky thing about this fight is that the debuffs can’t be cleared; instead, each debuff is removed each time your character takes a turn. This means that it is extremely important that your characters move quickly from turn to turn so that you can get rid of as many debuffs as possible.

This is where your controller characters come in – characters like Lucas and Dhalia will stand out here, as Lucas has AP absorption, while Dhalia can increase your party speed. Clara is slightly less effective in this fight, but Hymn of Life will increase the AP of the entire party if there is no cooldown. The more stacks of Venom Smear you manage to clear, the higher your score multiplier will be.

Key Mechanics: When Venom Smear is applied, increase your speed and try to complete as many turns as possible to get rid of these debuffs. The more debuffs you get rid of, the higher the score multiplier.

Rewards and churn rates

As mentioned above, the higher your score rank, the better your drop rates. Below are the drop rates you can expect for each rank:

On top of that, each boss drops Boost Stones for different sets of relics. Here’s what he can potentially get from each:

Stone Types BossBoostShadowfireWar Machine, Wind Walker, Astral Witchcraft, Master Grove, Stoneveins, Apollo’s BowShadowgaleHades, Aperting Panacea, Ocean Waves, Fiery Incandescence, Sword Avatara, AdamantineShadowstream Hammer of Thor, Tyranny of Zeus, Snow Dowager, Immensus Peak, The Enchanter, The Light Up
