OnePlus is working on Nord TWS earphones and a phone called Oscar
OnePlus rumors abound today, starting with the company apparently working on a pair of Nord-branded true wireless earphones, to accompany its lineup of mid-range smartphones.
Some renders purportedly showing the Nord buds have been leaked, but the source says some changes may occur on the way to a finalized product, as these renders are based on live images of “final prototyping stage units”. ». In other words, the actual shipping product will probably look like what you see here, but how much remains to be seen.
The Nord headphones appear to have a physical button with a gold hue, eschewing touch controls. Or maybe the touch control surface is marked with a gold accent. They are otherwise very black and have a very short (but very wide) stem.
The Northern outbreaks are expected to become official sometime later this year. There aren’t really any more details on that yet, but given the Nord branding, we’re guessing they should sit just below OnePlus’ Buds series of true wireless earbuds, just like the Nord phones.
Next, in other OnePlus news, the company is said to be working on a new phone that will be part of the numbered flagship series. His codename is Oscar, and that’s all we know about him so far. Wait, there is one more detail: it will debut in the second quarter, that is, between April and June.
Since the OnePlus 10 Pro launched in China without a non-Pro OnePlus 10 along with it, the most obvious thing to assume here is that this Oscar device will end up being sold as the OnePlus 10.
The OnePlus lineup will be steadily expanding this year, with rumors suggesting a bunch of new Nord devices, as well as a fitness band, smartwatch, and tablet will arrive in 2022.
