Poco F4 5G Photos Leaked, Phone Reportedly Based On Redmi K40S
Images of the upcoming Poco F4 5G have surfaced – just like the Poco F4 GT, this phone is tied to the Redmi K series. The two-stage camera bump with three lenses arranged in a triangle bears a striking resemblance to the Redmi K50s. , K50 Pro and K40S.
Unconfirmed information suggests that the Poco F4 5G is based on the latter, the Poco K40S. It’s not identical, as the label on the back clearly says “64MP OIS”, while the K40S has a 48MP camera (with OIS).

Camera changes aside, the new Poco F phone is expected to feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display (FHD+, 120Hz), 6/128GB memory configuration, 4,500mAh battery with fast charging 67 W (0-100% in 38 minutes), stereo speakers, and a side fingerprint reader. And probably a 2MP macro and 8MP ultra-wide camera on the back, plus a 20MP camera on the front.
There should be a Snapdragon 870 inside, a proven chipset, but a few generations behind the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 used by the Poco F4 GT (which is itself based on the Redmi K50 Gaming).
Redmi K40S to compare
The GT model was released globally in late April or early May at an early bird price of €500 (for a 8/128GB model). When the K40S launched in China in mid-March, its base price was CNY 1,800 for a 6/128GB model, which converts to $270/€250/Rs 21,000. That is, we expect the Poco F4 5G to cost somewhere in the middle. For reference, the Poco F3 (which used the same chipset, by the way) launched at €350 and is now down to €260.
