Xiaomi and Reliance Jio have teamed up to test the upcoming Redmi K50i on the carrier’s 5G network ahead of its launch on July 20. Redmi K50i will have a total of twelve 5G bands, namely bands n1, n3, n5, n7, n8, n20, n28a, n38, n40, n41, n77 and n78. The phone has successfully passed various real-world tests such as 4K content streaming and cloud gaming. Xiaomi has also confirmed that the phone will arrive with a 144Hz refresh rate display.
Redmi K50i is expected to be a rebranded Redmi Note 11T Pro+, so we know what to expect spec-wise. Xiaomi India has already confirmed that it will be equipped with the Dimensity 8100 chipset.
We should also see a 64MP main camera along with an 8MP ultrawide shooter and a 2MP macro module and a 16MP selfie camera. The battery is expected to top out at 4,400mAh with support for 120W fast wired charging.
