Samsung revolution. S Pen on the Galaxy S21 and Note range replaced by the Galaxy Z Fold 3

A bombshell from South Korea claims that Samsung is about to make a real one revolution in its range offer high.

To understand how Samsung’s top-of-the-line line-up could change, let’s first take stock of what happened this year.

With the Galaxy S20Samsung has launched three variants (Galaxy S20, S20 + and S20 Ultra). A few months later, the Seoul-based manufacturer launched the range Galaxy Note20which has always been characterized by the nib, this time with two variants: Note20 and Note20 Ultra.

According to what is reported The Elec Korea, the successor of the Galaxy S20, called Galaxy S21, will be equipped with the S Pen, but only on the Ultra variant. The launch of the S21 models is scheduled for the first half of next year. Galaxy S21 would be codenamed “Unbound” with variants: M1, N2 and O3. The S Pen will apparently only be on board the O3 model (the top of the whole range).

But let’s get to the bomb itself. Samsung has not yet confirmed the launch of the Galaxy Note21 for next year and for this reason some rumors have emerged according to which the manufacturer intends not to continue the Note range by replacing it with the models of Galaxy Z Fold 3 enabled to use the S-Pen.

This could mean that Samsung will launch the Galaxy S21 in the first half of the year and the new Z Fold / Z Flip in the second half.
With advances in mass production of Ultra Thin Glass (UTG), Samsung would have the capacity to produce 600,000 foldable displays per month with the potential to meet the target of 1 million foldable displays per month before the end of the year.

In all likelihood, if this news is confirmed, Samsung would not be able to sell as many foldable devices as the Galaxy Note lineup, but the foldables’ high profit margin could offset the lower number of units sold.

On the other hand, the insertion of the stylus on some models of the Galaxy S21 range could ensure even more success for Korean flagships.
