The popular medium comparison expert of video games and technical details, Digital Foundry, recently conducted a performance evaluation of the long-awaited Dark Souls III running on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
In the video we can see that while the title runs at 30 FPS On both platforms most of the time, the version for Sony’s desktop platform reaches a resolution of 1080p, while on Xbox One it has only managed to reach 900p. We can also highlight the repeated frame drops on both platforms, although it is on Xbox One where it becomes more evident, probably due to the development of From Software.
On previous occasions, the company assured that it will continue working on the game’s performance even after its release, referring to the console versions. However, it has not been detailed how profound this graphical and technical improvement to the game will be, so we will have to wait and see. the final result.
