This has been the best seller of the week in Japan (4/4/16 – 4/10/16): ‘Far Cry Primal’, ‘Dark Souls III’ and more

One more week we bring you the list of Media Create, the popular Japanese company which is responsible for tracking game shipments at major retailers each week, for the purpose of comparing what is most popular currently in Japan and which games are having more success than others; this time with data collected from the April 4 to April 10 of 2016.

This week highlights Far Cry Primal, the Ubisoft spin-off that was launched a few months ago in the West, while in Japan it was only recently released, selling approximately 25,300 units during its first week. Very closely in the number 5 position There is also the long-awaited Dark Souls III, which already shows a cumulative total of close to 300,000 physical units sold, an impressive number for a game that has only been around for weeks.
