Jusant demo test circuit

During the ongoing Steam Next Fest, we can find some really great treasures if we patiently browse through the range of upcoming games. This is also the case with Jusant, which is developed by no less a name than Don’t Nod, to whom we can also thank Life is Strange, Vampyr or Tell Me Why, so the captivating atmosphere can be enveloped.

Jusant is an action-puzzle game set in a dystopian world. So far, not much is known about the story, but what is certain is that our planet has become a desert. Where there were once seas and oceans, today only rusted hulls and the remains of rafts can be found. However, in the middle of the desert there is a rock tower that is unfathomably high on a human scale. The protagonist of the game is a young girl who lives in this world and is preparing to climb this rock. During his journey, he comes across traces of a bygone civilization and the tower’s past is gradually revealed to him.

To get to the top, you need to use your rock climbing skills and the necessary equipment. Quite a few games have dealt with rock and/or wall climbing as a sport so far, so for me Jusan deserves special attention. Of course, this is not a simulation, but the game presents the basics of forced climbing quite well. The puzzle tasks are mostly related to climbing. We have to figure out how to get even higher, how to reach a distant cliff. The trailer reveals that the full version will have different types of puzzles, and as we progress up the tower, we will have to overcome a lot of challenges. We also have a little friend named Ballast. The tiny creature will be able to influence nature throughout the game, helping us progress.

What is clear from the demo is that the certain captivating atmosphere is fully present. The music playing in the menu sets the stage for the calm rhythm of the game, and the intro, sounds and graphics complement it perfectly. Best of all, the full version is coming later this month.
