Global cataclysms are a tired theme in the gaming world, but this time the developers of Ndemic Creations (the name says it all) put us on the side of the bad guys. Our aim? Create a powerful virus and unleash a‘epidemic all over the world. Will you be able to exterminate the human race?
The game is available in both a free and paid version: the free version suffers from several disadvantages, such as advertising and the inability to make the game time pass quickly (playing at normal speed, in the long run, can be really frustrating). The paid version is free of any type of advertising, and has no limitations of any kind.
We can of course choose the difficulty level between Casual, Normal and Brutal: we’ll let you imagine which will be the most difficult. Once the difficulty has been chosen, we move on to selecting the type of epidemicof thefirst name he was born in genetic code.
As regards the type of epidemic, we move from normal bacteria to nano-viruses: initially it will only be possible to use bacteria, but by completing the game you will unlock six other types of epidemic, each of which requires its own game strategy.
The genetic code it is nothing more than a set of bonuses: initially you will not have any available, but as you complete the game you will unlock more and more. It is also possible to unlock them by paying for them with real moneybut if you don’t want to miss out on much of the fun, you can we do not recommend warmly.
Once you have created the virus you are ready to infect “Patient Zero“choose carefully nation where to start the virus and wait. The virus will begin to spread within the nation and while this happens yellow icons will appear on the game map: by collecting them you will accumulate DNA points useful for carrying out mutations to the virus.
It is possible to spend DNA points in three major branches of virus mutation: Transmission, Symptoms and Abilities. The first two act respectively on transmission mode and on physical damagesskills instead concern the virus resistance to any antibiotics or particular types of climate. The virus can also mutate of its own accord.
The virus will begin to take over and expand to other nations; richer nations will start looking for one cure for the virus, but if you adequately develop the “resistance” branch, the virus will be able to overcome any type of medicine created by scientists. During the match some news may appear in which the virus is compared to the largest epidemics that have affected humans in recent centuries.
After a few months the first deaths will arrive, the research will begin to bear fruit and the care will begin to be sent from one part of the world to another: your task will be to intercept and destroy them as soon as possible.
On planet earth reigns the chaos more total, and the world population is decreasing minute by minute, if you have done a good job your virus will exterminate the entire human race. At the end of the game you will unlock a new type of epidemic and if you are lucky also elements for the genetic code.
