New Game event in Ahoy “The Next Level”

Ahoy is organizing a new gaming event, which will be held from June 23 to June 25.
This event is for Casual and Hardcore gamers, gadgets and games are central. There is also a Lanparty, with room for approximately 1000 people. So you’ll definitely get your money’s worth.

Games
For games and gaming, visitors can visit the BYOC, compos, case modding and gaming areas. The BYOC literally means ’48 hrs Bring Your Own Computer’ and is a ‘party’ where a participant brings his or her computer and monitor and connects them to the network. During the LANParty, approximately 1,000 participants will compete with each other for valuable prizes and of course honor. The real hardcore gamers can be found in this zone. The Next Level organizes this zone in collaboration with Netgamez.

‘Compos’ or competitions take place in several zones with prizes available to the winners. The exciting matches can be followed on mega video screens and via live stream at the gamer’s home. In addition to live gaming, changing or modifying the computer case is popular. This is also called ‘case modding’ and consists of, for example, decorating the case with colored fluorescent tubes (CCFLS beams). But the ‘sky is the limit’ because some go so far as to build water cooling into their case, or, for example, create a window in the hard drive housing.

The gaming area provides even more interactive entertainment for the wider public. Here we play with the latest games. There are PC Game Islands where visitors can game against each other via PCs. But gaming is also possible in the Relaxed Gaming Zone with consoles and in the Multiplayer Racing Zone in the driver seats. The sale and presentation of games and accessories take place at the Expo. The Gaming Areas are designed in collaboration with GameParty.

Gadgets
Gadgets have become an indispensable part of our ‘multimedia’ world. They are there for our pleasure as well as for (domestic) convenience. At first we were still looking at the phone with calendar and image functions: nowadays there is the handheld computer with which we can wave and navigate our car routes. The beer tap is no longer reserved for the café, and making coffee can now also be done faster and more economically.
