watchOS 10.1: FIXED “battery drain” on Apple Watch

Apple recently released the new watchOS 10.1 for Apple Watch and developers, fixing a battery life issue.

As we already know from the beta versions released weeks ago, we have discovered the arrival of an important fix that will arrive soon, relating to the anomalous consumption of battery life on Apple Watch.

Specifically, the battery now seems to perform better, right from the first installation. Many users complained of very significant daily battery consumption on many Apple Watch models, and in fact, there was a software problem in this case too.

In this way, Apple has listened to the constant complaints of users, solving a noteworthy problem.

Furthermore, the “Double Tap” function has also been enabled, which will allow, when we enter an application, to double tap with our fingers on these two new models, with watchOS 10.1, to start the main function of that specific app.

In this way, you can start a recording in voice memos, or even take a photo, or end a call, simply with the double tap of your fingers, thanks to the improved heart sensor.

What’s new in watchOS 10.1

  • Added the NameDrop function, which allows you to exchange contacts;
  • Added the Double Tap function, which allows you to start an operation with two fingers;
  • Fixed a major abnormal battery life drain on some Apple Watches;
  • Fixed major security flaws on all compatible Apple Watches;
  • Improved system performance, stability and security;
  • Minor fixes.
