After much controversy, Tracer has a new pose in ‘Overwatch’

Last week a parent complained about a victory pose Tracer, one of the few female characters who will be present in Overwatch when it launches on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC this coming May 24, 2016.

The pose was called “Over the Shoulder” and showed Tracer on his back holding his two weapons while revealing his rear in a sensual way. After criticism and controversy, the company decided to quickly remove this pose and announce that they would replace it with another. When it was accused that the original pose branded Tracer as “just another ___ symbol”, director Jeff Kaplan commented that “we actually have an alternate pose that we love and feel like it speaks more to Tracer’s character.”
