It is common find games designed for PC that end up being extremely inferior when they reach desktop consoles. However, in the specific case of Overwatch, the developer has paid special attention to consoles for prevent this from happeningas highlighted by the Digital Foundry media.
On both platforms the game runs at 1080p and 60 FPS. However, the resolution works dynamically, so in moments of excessive action we could notice a resolution drop on Xbox One to 900p or even 700p, always for the sake of frames per second. We’re still not sure if the PS4 version will be able to maintain this good performance always, so we’ll have to wait for the final game to find out.
