For those of you who are not aware of Battalion 1944, it is a new shooting title in first person based on the Second World War, specifically in 1944, which achieved its full financing on Kickstarter in just days to be launched soon on PlayStation 4 and others current generation platforms.
The game received a lot of support mainly by fans asking for a classic war title in this generation, after the launch of Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline with modern warfare; and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, Titanfall, Titanfall 2, Star Wars Battlefront and other top shooters with futuristic or fantastic proposals. Unfortunately, we haven’t seen the first PlayStation 4 classic war title.
We know this will change with Battalion 1944, but the game’s producer, Joe Brammer, now has given us reasons to believe that Battlefield 5 also aims to change this. As he has confirmed through his personal Twitter account, he has had the opportunity to see “things from Battlefield 5” and now he is “beyond excited.” Being the producer of a classic war game, one might think that their tastes follow this trend and Battlefield 5 is probably set in a classic war, although we can’t take anything for sure.
Previously a rumor suggested that Battlefield 5 would be located during the First World War. However, the first news about this installment will most likely come on June 12, when Electronic Arts presents its live event before E3 2016.
